This chapter provides a step-by-step guide to installing the Defalto CRM system. Whether you are setting up the system on a local development environment or deploying it to a production server, these instructions will help ensure a smooth and successful installation. Each step is accompanied by screenshots for clarity, making it easy to follow even if you’re not a technical expert.

Please follow the instructions below to install the Defalto CRM system:

1. Download the installation file from https://sourceforge.net/
   (The installation file will be available once the first version of Defalto CRM is released.)

2. Copy the .zip installation file to the directory where you plan to install Defalto CRM on your server.

3. Extract the contents of the .zip file into that directory.

4. Open your web browser and navigate to your domain, followed by /install.php.
   Example: https://yourdomain.com/install.php

5. The Defalto CRM installation process will now begin:

6. Once the initial setup is complete, click the Continue Installation button to proceed.

7. On the next screen, you will enter the Setup Wizard, where you can choose your preferred default language. Once selected, click the Install button to continue.

8. In the next step, please accept our license agreement by clicking the In the next step, please accept our license agreement by clicking the I Agree button. You will then see a table displaying the installation requirements. We strongly recommend that all requirements are met to ensure proper functionality.
If you make any changes during the installation to fix unmet requirements, click the Recheck button to verify that the updates have been applied successfully.
Once everything is in order, click the Next button to proceed.

9. The next step is System Configuration, where you need to fill in the following sections:

  • Database Information

  • System Information

  • Admin User Information

All required fields are displayed on the screen and should be familiar to most users.
If you haven’t created a database yet, you can use the Create New Database option to generate one during this step.
Once all fields are correctly filled out, click the Next button to continue.

10. On the following screen, you will be asked to Confirm Configuration Settings. All the information you previously entered will be displayed for review.
If you need to make any changes, you can go back and update the fields.
Once everything is correct, click the Next button to proceed.

11. In the next window, you will need to configure the Outgoing Mail Server.
Please make sure to use a valid and working mail server to ensure that Defalto CRM can successfully send emails (e.g., notifications, user invites, or password resets). Once the configuration is complete, click the Next button to proceed.

12. On the next screen, the installation process will begin, and a progress bar will indicate its status.

Once the installation is complete, you will be automatically redirected to the Defalto CRM dashboard.

Congratulations! The installation is now complete, and you can start using the Defalto CRM system.
